1. Delivery Area

Maritime Container Services LLC delivers shipping containers to all 50 United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories. We maintain partnerships with specialized freight carriers across the country to ensure reliable, timely delivery regardless of your location.

Our primary distribution hubs are located in major port cities including Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/New Jersey, Savannah, and Seattle. Containers are shipped from the nearest hub to minimize delivery time and cost.

2. Delivery Methods

Tilt-Bed Truck Delivery (Recommended)

Our tilt-bed trucks hydraulically tilt the trailer, sliding the container off the back and placing it at ground level. This is the most common and cost-effective delivery method.

  • No crane or forklift needed on-site
  • Container placed at ground level
  • Ideal for residential and commercial sites
  • Available for 20ft and 40ft containers

Flatbed Truck Delivery

Containers delivered on a standard flatbed trailer require a crane, forklift, or other lifting equipment on-site for offloading.

  • Best for sites with existing crane/forklift equipment
  • Allows precise placement with crane
  • Available for all container sizes

Clearance

Minimum 12 feet wide, 14 feet tall. No overhead power lines, tree branches, or low structures.

Access Road

The delivery truck is approximately 65 feet long. Ensure road access, turning radius, and no weight-restricted bridges.

Shipping FAQ

How are shipping containers delivered?

Containers are delivered via specialized flatbed or tilt-bed trucks. Tilt-bed trucks can place containers at ground level without a crane. Flatbed delivery requires a crane or forklift on-site for offloading.

How long does delivery take?

Standard delivery takes 5-15 business days depending on your location and container availability. Expedited delivery (3-7 business days) is available for an additional fee in most areas.

Do you deliver to all 50 states?

Yes. Maritime Container Services delivers shipping containers to all 50 states including Alaska and Hawaii. Remote locations may require additional delivery time and fees.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery costs vary based on distance, container size, and site accessibility. We provide free, no-obligation delivery quotes. Request a quote online at our contact page or email sales@maritimecontainersllc.com.

What do I need to prepare for delivery?

Ensure your delivery site has: (1) A level, firm surface (concrete, gravel, or compacted ground). (2) Adequate clearance — at least 12 feet wide and 14 feet tall for the truck. (3) Sufficient length for the container plus 20 feet for the truck. (4) No overhead obstructions like power lines or tree branches.

Can you deliver to residential addresses?

Yes. We deliver to both residential and commercial locations. For residential deliveries, ensure street access can accommodate a large truck (approximately 65 feet long for 40ft containers).

Will I be notified before delivery?

Yes. Our logistics team contacts you 24-48 hours before delivery to confirm the delivery window. On delivery day, the driver will call approximately 1 hour before arrival.

What if my site is not accessible?

If our driver determines the site is inaccessible upon arrival, we will work with you to find an alternative placement location. If delivery cannot be completed, a re-delivery fee may apply.
